- When creating an orchard, it is recommended to cultivate 60-70 cm or deep plowing, pre-importing 50-70 kg of triple superphosphate per decare and 30-50 kg of potassium sulfate per decare. In the presence of manure, it is plowed to a depth of 25-30 cm before planting.
- Fertilization with ammonium nitrate is carried out at 15 kg per decare in the first years until fruiting only around the trees, and later by 25-30 kg per acre in the range of the root system, parallel to the row. Drip irrigation systems can also be used for feeding.
- In the years of fruiting (autumn) it is necessary to fertilize with manure, potassium and phosphorus fertilizers every 3-4 years, the quantities are as follows:
- 5-6 tone of manure per acre;
- 40-50 кг potassium sulphate per acre;
- 60-70 кг triple superphosphate per acre.
- In the years of fruiting, annual fertilization with nitrogen is carried out fertilizers. The annual norm is 40-50 kg of ammonium nitrate per decare, half of which is introduced into the soil in early spring, and the rest – in May. Nitrogen fertilizers are plowed with shallow tillage.
- The need for fertilization can be determined visually, but this one method is not very accurate, because the weakening of growth (shoot length below 40-60 cm) may be due to other factors – fruit overload, drought, etc.
