The suitability of animal feces for composting depends before everything from whether the pet is a carnivore or a vegetarian. The cats and dog waste is completely inappropriate and must be avoid. Because they are the result of meat processing, they will attract horseflies and
their larvae. In addition, they can be infected with diseases that are dangerous for children and pregnant women. Unfortunately, not all pathogens can be destroyed in home composter. Bedding materials as well as faeces from grazing animals, such as rabbits and hamsters, are very suitable for composting. Straws, newspapers or sawdust soaked in a wonderful activator – urine – are suitable for composting. Faeces can be considered as well-processed vegetable materials that accelerate the decomposition of compost. Sawdust takes a long time to decompose and, therefore, often remains unchanged in the final product, but this does not prevent their use.
