All equipment and machinery, including food vending machines and belts, feeders, drinkers, fans, heaters and lighting fixtures, fire extinguishers and the alarm system must be cleaned and checked regularly and to be maintained in good working order.
Ventilation, lighting and heating equipment, feeding and watering systems and other equipment, as well as the electrical system must be designed, installed and maintained so as to avoid any risk from injury to broilers.
All equipment must be designed and maintained as such condition that avoids loud noise, which is harmful to birds. Automatic systems, on the work on which depends the welfare of broilers must be provided with a maintenance or back – up system at damage to the main and have an alarm system to notify viewers for any system failure. Damage must be repaired as much as possible as soon as possible and to take all necessary measures to ensure the welfare of the broilers until the damage is repaired. Spare systems / ways of feeding and maintaining the conditions in the room must be available and ready to use.
