- The direction of processing should be on the long side of the fields, ie. horizontally or transversely to prevailing winds.
- Uneven plowing (of plows and ridges) is preferable. If necessary, groove to retain and drain excess water. The furrowing is expressed in passing along the surface of the plowed soil parallel to the horizontal furrows, 25 to 30 cm deep, at a distance of 1.5-2 m. water absorption.
- Tillage should be done perpendicular to the slope or horizontally, the so-called contour tillage. These methods are applied on terrains with a slight slope.
- In the case of perennials, row spacing can be strengthened by grassing (partial or complete) or sown / planted with other crops, and / or the soil can be cultivated perpendicular to the slope or horizontally.
